Supporting Oklahoma City’s Youth
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
If your child or teenager is struggling, your family does not have to handle it alone. We offer child and adolescent psychiatry for young people ages 6 and up.
Watching your child struggle is hard. We will navigate it with your family.
Maybe the changes came slowly: trouble focusing at school, worry that seems bigger than it should be, a sadness that will not lift, or shifts in mood and behavior that feel unfamiliar. Maybe it all seemed to happen at once. Either way, you may be carrying a lot of questions about what is going on and what to do next.
Reaching out for support is not a sign that something has gone wrong in your family. It is a caring step. Our child and adolescent psychiatry services are built around individualized care, so your child is understood as a whole person and not just a list of symptoms.

Meet Dr. Fadalia Kim, MD
Child and adolescent psychiatric care at Resilient is led by Dr. Fadalia Kim. She is a board-certified psychiatrist with advanced fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Kim provides thoughtful, patient-centered care, looking beyond a diagnosis to understand the bigger picture: your child’s environment, their relationships, and their goals. Those things shape how a young person is doing, and they shape what will help.
Dr. Kim’s clinical focus includes:
- ADHD and executive functioning
- Anxiety
- Depression
- LGBTQIA+ youth mental health
Our Approach to Care
Youth psychiatric care starts with a comprehensive initial evaluation. Dr. Kim listens carefully to both you and your child, taking the time to learn about your concerns, your child’s background, and their experiences at home and school.
From there, she works with your family to build a plan that fits your child. The goal is individualized care that helps manage symptoms, brings relief, and supports your child’s strengths. This plan is not set in stone—as your child’s needs change, our approach will change with them.
For some young people, medication can be one helpful part of a broader plan. If we recommend medication, we walk through every option with you and your child first—explaining why it might help, discussing potential side effects openly, and ensuring your family is completely comfortable before moving forward.
Our aim is never to alter your child’s personality, but to give them the support they need to feel confident, capable, and secure.
